Our Patients
There is no such thing as a “typical patient” here at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic. However, although we serve a very diverse population of people, our patients have some things in common. Most of the people we serve are working adults. All of the people we serve are without adequate resources to afford health care. Their salary is equal to 185 percent of the poverty line and they do not have health insurance or qualify for other government benefits. Because of increasing costs, private health insurance coverage by employers is continuing to decrease.This leaves more residents of Eau Claire and surrounding communities without adequate access to health care. However, at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic we believe that everyone should have reasonable access to health care. The people we serve are extremely appreciative of the medical care they receive
and many would have no other option for health care if we didn’t exist. We take pride in welcoming anyone in need of our services so please do not hesitate to contact us for information about our services or other areas of referral.
