Volunteer Spotlight: Susan Jewett
This month’s spotlight features someone we’ve all enjoyed the hard work of but likely never have met. Susan Jewett has been our volunteer meal-coordinator for the past year and a half. She works behind the scenes scheduling over twenty volunteers to bring food to make sure our bellies are full on clinic nights.
At first, Susan was unsure of how she could help CVFC because of her busy schedule. Aside from running her kids around, she also owns her own business. It was apparent that the role of meal-coordinator would best fit her lifestyle. She especially enjoys the position because of the total scheduling flexibility the role affords her.
We feel that providing a meal creates an atmosphere where our volunteers can find camaraderie and sustain much needed energy. This directly translates to an improved quality of care for our patients, and thus is a critical element to our operations.
If you have any interest in helping behind the scenes by providing a meal, please contact Susan.
